Continued from part 2, here.
Last Sunday was a special events day: Weddings Through Time. Essentially, a wedding (or, in the Fort's case, three) on each street, run by all of the historical interpreters. Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of the wedding that I participated in on the Midway (the Half-Man, Half-Woman marrying both Stanislav the Sword-Swallower and the (female) fire-eater), because digital cameras aren't something that a 1920s carnie in the choir could accurately have on her. I'll see if I can find some from facebook for you guys later, if you nag me.
I did get off work half an hour early, though, and managed to photograph interpreters from other streets as they gathered in front of their changeroom at the end of the day. You would normally never see them from all of these eras gathering like this, by the way.

The 1905 street interpreters trickle in.

The 1905 street bride. Apparently, the stag party was more epic than the wedding itself: nearly half a dozen male interpreters hanging around the Penny Arcade for about an hour drinking "whiskey" (tea in period whiskey bottles).

Here she is again, in better lighting and a better view of her hat and veil.

The modern 1920s bride snapping at someone with the hated veil in front of the changeroom.

The brides of 1885, 1905 and 1920 gather. The 1885 bride was a bit put out because she was the only one who didn't get a new dress for the occasion.

The bride of 1920 street dances with her "grandfather" from 1885 street while a man from 1905 watches on in jealousy. Again, you would normally never see such eras mixing like this.

Check out the groom from 1920 with the big fat lipstick mark on his cheek from his wedding reception. ;)
Another post shall follow,
