"And freezing." "Is it?" "Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "We haven't had an earthquake lately.”

Well, I thought I'd post something on the last day of winter vacation. :D
Christmas was decent; I didn't get anything spectacular myself (my brother got a laptop from some people in his dojo :( ). Ian was able to get a day pass from the hospital for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, but he had to stay the night. He also got an operation on Boxing Day to remove the tumor from his chest, and is doing much better now. So that's great. ^_^
I brought home all my notes to study (exams start a week after we get back), but I've only studied like, ten pages of European history. -_-; I'm so ashamed.
I did get to go to Marmot Basin on the second of January; it was fine, next to no lines, but some of the trails were icy because they hadn't gotten any snow in weeks. It was fun, regardless, although my hands would have frozen if it weren't for these awesome handwarmers I bought. :P
Yesterday was a really good day. It actually snowed; this thick, fluffy stuff that fell really slowly. It looked sorta like a cloud had exploded up in the sky and was falling to the ground. ^_^ I biked downtown regardless of the snow, and picked up a book from the Crimson Quill that I'd ordered (it came in early :) ). I had a nice conversation with the till lady, who actually got some nots out of my neclace chain because I mentioned they were there; free of charge! So nice! :D On the way back home (I also stopped for some tea), I saw a huge cloud of birds (sparrows, I think), flying in huge swirls and landing in trees and on housetops... They were rather loud, because there must have been at least two thousand of them. It was insanely cool. I just stopped and stared at them flying through the snow for a few minutes, and I noticed some cars slow down too to watch. It was awesome. :D
Well, I've got to go to work soon, so... I'll be off! Happy New Year! *scampers off*
