Alright, Inkshedding!

I learnt about this writing tecnique on Friday, at a writing workshop. I enjoyed it then, so I'm going to be giving it a whirl. It's essentially a stream of consiousness thing; just write whatever comes to mind on a certain topic, and see where it goes. I'm not supposed to stop, just keep writing on and on and on, etc. It was fun! ^_^ I only had a paper and pen last time, and since I now have a computer, it should go faster (yay, double-digit word per minute count!)So... My inkshed topic will be... Water!

Okay let's see if this cut thing works... Woot! It did!

Okay, water... lets see, it's called H2O alot (yay chemistry!). I love the rain, and rain's made of water (or is it condensed air molecules? Anyway...) and so rain is always nice it makes me feel refreshed. I find the sound of water relaxing and i think it's because it's some sort of primitive impulse, you know? I know that I'm told our anscestors came from the ocean, so perhaps it's a deep-bred impulse to associate water with safety/relaxation. Or maybe it's from closer ansestors, who needed to stay by waterholes/rivers/streams/ponds/whatever (yay words for water! but I digress!) to survive while hunting and gathering. Now nothing's coming nothing's coming... wait! the ocean is a nice place. I've always wondered what the exact difference between oceans and seas are (is it because one's bigger than the other? One's surrounded by land and the other surrounds land? I should look it up on wikipedia...). I've also wondered why exactly ocean water is salty. I mean, river water isn't... is it because they collect minerals on their way to the ocean? I'm not sure that makes sense, because freshwater lakes and rivers are always called "freshwater" until they meet the ocean, when they get distilled. Makes no sense (note to self: search for that on wikipedia - wonderful site. Yay!). I say "yay" alot don't I? I think it's because I'm getting really cheerful... oH, thunder! Like, as in thunderstorms which have to do with rain which have to do with thunder. Lightning is really pretty (but dangerous), but I've always liked the sound of
thunder (thor riding across the clouds in a chariot pulled by goats and all that), but I think it sounds just awe-inspiring. I mean, think about it; one can hear the sound of a lightning strike from hundreds of km away. I know that lighting pushes the air molecules aside and thunder is the sound they make when they
come back together. I mean, what a force! Wait, how do the molecules get moved aside, anyway? Isn't lightning (ack, can't spell that word) like, light? Is it? Or is it energy? Doesn't it have to have matter to push it aside? or is it a force of some sort? I don't understand what lightning is! (Another thing to look up on wikipedia). Which is an awesome site man this has no grammar ahahahaha runon sentence! I usuallly don't have a problem with those types of things unless I'm in a hurry (ack stupid in-class essays!) .........

(always end inksheds in elipses (...) so you can continue them at a later date)

Well, that was actually fun! I'm listening to a CD of thunder, lightning, and bird sounds while writing this for inspiration. ^_^ I quite like inksheds. I'm going to try to write them as often as possible; I'll get better. And it's good carthricis..s (what's that word???). And I'll improve my typing speed and fast thinking grammar! ^_^ Woot woot! ^_^ And hopefully I'll get more interesting with practice (I should probably post my first one, on vanity. I somehow ended up talking about furniture (vanity chests, etc.), and then to how blonde and blond are directed at two different genders (my reasoning was vanity=Narcissus=Narcissa Malfoy=blondeness VS blondness).

(okay, now that paragraph was almost an inkshed as well! ... I really am random, aren't I?
