Well, I've been a very successful nerd in the last little while. I got 95% on my huge Euro. History test (highest mark in the class). ^_^ Mr. Nicholas, the teacher, was like, "Well, here are the tests back. The average was 71%" (All of us were like crap because this was an Advanced Placement class) "There were three who failed, but luckily all were in the high forties." (winces all around) "Some of you got high eighties, and one ninety, but don't get your hopes up." And, well, the ninety person was me. :P

Plus, I got another 100% on a Physics test (spent hours studying for that one, and completely guessed for one question, so I'm proud of myself).

And yes, I am bragging. ^_^

I also finally finnished this stupid, huge Macbeth media project. That one stressed us all out. We probably would have done better had our English teacher merely given us a week to work on it, and a single class's worth of time to at least start on it. But no, she gave it to us three weeks in advance, then gave us lots of trivial things to do, like worksheets and short quizzes to study for, probably knowing (malicious as English teachers are) that we'd procrastinate. Well, we did. Most of us didn't start until the weekend before it was due (I started the weekend before that, so I wasn't much better). I must've spent a total of twenty hours on that stupid thing. One girl, I heard, had been found crying in the bathroom on the day it was due, because she'd been working on a film presentation all week, but her camera died when it was half-filmed, and so she couldn't finish in time, and so had to begin a completely new project at six PM the night before it was due. We got no class time, and had to work alone, unlike the other English class who are doing the exact same curriculum under a different teacher; they get groups of two or three, and had like six class periods to work on it. Bastards. :P

Anyway, I'm glad that's done. I also finally sorted out this Ambulance bill (I cut my finger badly at work in September, and an ambulance was called; all they did was unwrap my finger, fill in a few forms, wrapped it up again, and leave - I didn't even see the thing, but we were sent a 270$ bill. My work agreed to pay for it, as the accident had happened at work, and they'd called it, but after hanging onto it for a few weeks, gave it back to me, saying I should handle it through WCB. Well, it turns out that they were supposed to pay it after all. Anyway, that's all sorted, and the city isn't harrassing us anymore. ^_^ )

I'm also going to take the test for my Learner's Licence tomorrow. I actually hadn't planned on taking it until next summer (I'm already sixteen, and some of my friends are already driving with full driver's licences, but I've always been paranoid about driving), but I heard from a friend of a friend that they were changing their policy, meaning that you'd have to spend two years instead of one on probation before getting your full licence. So, my sister and I rushed out to take the test (she took hers Friday and passed, but I had work and had no opportunity until tomorrow to take it). I asked at the office, though, about the policy change, and the clerk just looked exasperated and said "the December rumor's started early this year, hasn't it?". *was slightly embarrased*

But now I don't really have to worry about it, and so I can relax.

Oh, and Superstore (my workplace) has gotten Christmas trees! Since it'd my department, I get to spend at least half an hour each shift outside sweeping up pine needles. Smells good. ^_^ Yay for a change of scene!

So that pretty much sums up my situation... Oh, with the exception of my brother, who's still in the hospital, but doing better. He's lost most of his hair, but retains some baby-like fluff that would just look ridiculous and pitiful on a girl, but he manages to look like a slightly ruffled young bird. It's cute! ^_^

Oh, and one more thing. Tonight's the first full-cast rehearsal for the musical production of Titanic, with the pit. I'm so excited! (I play fourth flute in the pit, so I have like, the smallest part there is, but it's fun and I'm getting highschool credits and free stuff for it, so...)
