:D I would be honored to be your beta! I haven't beta-ed before, but I can do my best with plotline consistency and spelling/grammar. :)
This snippet is hilarious. XD
He pointedly didn’t look at Sakura, for fear of retributive yelling. It's good to see that even Kakashi is well aware of Sakura's temper, and that she's not willing to stand for the stereotype of the damsel. :P And Sakura and Sasuke's FACES when Naruto says he can do it!--and hmm, Kakashi already knows. He's been on the receiving end of the Oiroke already, then? I wonder when... (*thinks of Kakashi doing the Thousand-Years-of-Pain poke and Naruto doing the Oiroke at the same time* XD although that probably wouldn't work b/c Sasuke and Sakura would see that then anyway...) Hmm, I wonder how Sasuke's personality will differ from canon. It depends on whether or not Naruto will be able to prevent the massacre, of course...
but it had only reinforced Naruto’s opinion that his one, lone original jutsu was literally on-par with jutsu such as the Rasengan. I think I already mentioned this before, but I like how you took a "pointless" jutsu and made it useful for missions. :P
If he was thought to have an extreme weakness for perversion, well, that was one way he could trick his enemy. Indeed. It's curious to see how the jounin play up their "weaknesses" or eccentric points. Kakashi and Jiraiya are both "perverts," Gai is Loud and Bursting With Youth (and thus doesn't seem like one to catch subtleties), Asuma smokes a lot (so enemy nin might try to guess his location by his smell, but he could get rid of the smoke smell clinging to his clothes and trick them that way), etc. I've always suspected that Jiraiya caught on quicker than we see in canon about the genjutsu on the woman, but stayed out of the way to interfere at the best moment (i.e., when Naruto had recognized that Itachi and Kisame were a threat to him, as opposed to Naruto standing at the door with a huh? expression and not paying too much attention to his reflexes for getting away).
