All of those tears and stress have finally paid off! I'm so happy I didn't just give up when I found out my application was late! <3 <3 <3 Now I have to apply for a working Visa, do research about the city, find a place to live... BUT I HAVE A JOB! It begins October 1st, so I'll probably leave for France in the first week or so of September... <3 <3 <3 I am super excited! :D

Wow! Congratulations! :DDDD Good thing you kept going with that app! Amazing, so so amazing. You rock. :)

Where will you be in France (or is that determined yet)? As for housing, maybe you could poke around Metafilter or Ask Metafilter--there are always lots of tips to be found there.

Super exciting! :D It looks like I'll be in Rouen, but I could be anywhere in that "academie", or organizational district, not necessarily in the city itself... although I would love that. ;) Apparently it's famous for it's cathedrals? And for being gorgeous? It's also very close to Paris, like, weekend-trip close. :3

There's a website for youths who are studying/working in France temporarily that helps you find accommodation, but I'll keep that recommendation in mind! I can't actually start looking for a place to live until I get my contract, which could be from anywhere between May and early September. THEN I can find a place nearby the school where I'll be working. :)
