So I just saw the final three episodes of Fullmetal Alchemist, and... ZOMG!!!!! XD XD XD Awesome! I feel the need to squee compulsively...
WARNING!!! MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!
So I was watching it, and... WAAAAH! ;_; The japanese sure do love sad, sad endings. Of course, I knew who was going to turn out alive beforehand, as I have a chinese bootleg copy of the movie, Conqueror of Shamballa, which takes place after the last episode, but, wow... getting there... Crazy! (Now I actually understand why Glutony was so f-ed up in the movie! Yays!).
Anyway, moments that made me squee - Edward's promise to Russel Trigham that he wouldn't make the Philospher's Stone (what he doesn't say is that he's already made it ;_; ), and Russel shouting after him after he's left "Come back! Come back to us alive!" ;_; My god! I'm sure it sounds horribly cheesy in English, but Ed's Japanese voice actress has such a beautiful, emotional voice....
Also, Ed at the Gate with Envy; him advising Envy, nonchalantly, not to open the Gate, and Ed crying and saying, quite simply, "Al?" when he's brought back to life... I nearly cried right then and there. ;_; (<-I'm using that face alot in this post, aren't I? ;_; ).
Oh, and the beautiful shot of Ed being crushed by a Zepplin (woah, that line'll look odd if read out of context o_O; ) -him just staring, dazed at his TWO flesh hands, and clapping them... IN VAIN!!! ;_; I seriously welled up with tears, then. WAAAAH!!!
And now I really should watch my decent copy of "Conqueror of Shamballa" (my sister bought an official copy that promises to have subtitles that actually make sense), but I have no time to do so before my boyfriend comes over, and after he leaves I have to go right to work until later this evening. :( I also really hope that the movie has a copy of the movie chibis OVA - I saw it on youtube, and it's hilarious!
